kinda have a weird theory connecting to how the legend mentioned time... about two alternate timeline things... the 2nd prince was first cruel, just how uriel remembers him as. uriel injures his hand (let’s just assume the prince was the cause) and fl decides to not take her place as the duchess, and instead become a mercenary. but in this first timeline, she actually goes through with it. she goes through stuff, meets the 2nd prince prince, gets along with him (perhaps not sincerely since she wants to take revenge). maybe the prince mellowed out and adopted a softer personality. now, the dragon and the little human lady the dragon fell in love with may be a legend, or it may be the prince and the fl themselves. if it’s the former, let’s assume the two are their reincarnations. just as the love in the legend is cursed, when the prince falls in love with the fl, time reverses so to not let their love continue, because of the curse. the fl forgets but the prince remembers. that’s how he knows where to be when the duke? fl’s father? gets into an accident. hos soft personality is mainly for the fl, but his previous darker personality can overlap sometimes, just as you see happens when uriel tries to get between prince and

Maybe spoiler alert? Some of y'all's reasons for not wanting Tia to end up with the crown prince are that he's an asshole who raped Tia and made her miscarry. The thing is, THAT was an alternate timeline where Tia grew up just learning how to behave as noble lady and not getting along as well with the prince. The timeline she is now, has undoubtedly made changes to the characters'... characters and personality. The things Tia do now, in this timeline, has had very very significant impact on the world and the people around her. So, let's not assume that the crown prince will end up like the asshole that he was in the previous timeline. If you wanna make justifications, make justifications from the behaviour he shows in this new timeline. If the prince is still a massive asshole in this new timeline, does what he did to Tia, AND THEN ends up with Tia, then PLEASE insult the prince's character.
