long long spoiler bcs people drop it way too early and might be missing out stuff that they wanted to see;













he’s pretty much became obsessed with taekjoo tho but he never apologize. he became a typical obsessive boyfriend. big spoiler, he almost really kill taekjoo once later and this traumatized both of them bcs zhenya started to realize he can’t kill taekjoo and taekjoo realized that zhenya will never be that kind of a good partner to him. but after that zhenya just cling onto taekjoo, he lived in korea just to be close to taekjoo, always visit taekjoo’s mom, spoil taekjoo to rotten, always help taekjoo with his missions without taekjoo asking (this actually caused taekjoo a big trouble bcs zhenya is zhenya lmao he simply always interrupts taekjoo in missions just to gave him a short cut for success without any trouble and get more time to spend with taekjoo bcs taekjoo’s mission usually take weeks to months and zhenya doesn’t like that.)

i can very much say that taekjoo succeeded in taming him, zhenya listened to taekjoo’s words like some god later, he’s truly truly devoted to taekjoo.

there will be a scene where zhenya listened to taekjoo’s words to wait for him and not track him/help him with his mission and zhenya obeyed all while thinking taekjoo will reward him for listening, he also almost shoot himself in the head when taekjoo stopped breathing in his arm for a moment after almost drowned bcs he simply didn’t want to live without him, he is that devoted - this also include a scene where he remembered taekjoo shouted at him to not follow him when he left the island and zhenya obeyed, he blocked all entry into his island and mourned taekjoo’s absence without even eating, all while he wait for taekjoo to come back to him.

in the novel, their relationship was nowhere near soft, both of them always fights, their sex scenes were always rough as both of them like it that way, only a handful of those smut actually “gentle” and for taekjoo’s case, the author actually made it looks like taekjoo simply accept his fate and stayed with zhenya for the sake of his life to be spared and not killed, he didn’t forgive zhenya either and actually handled zhenya roughly (and guess what, zhenya readily accepted it) after he simply gave up and accept him in his life. from there, he just slowly fell in love with zhenya as zhenya pretty much accept whatever shits that taekjoo put him through tbh. all bcs zhenya don’t want taekjoo to hate him again.

and even if he’s an asshole, zhenya did actually acknowledge that he traumatized taekjoo so bad bcs in last volume taekjoo lost his memory and didn’t remember anything about meeting zhenya and zhenya was so damn scared that taekjoo will remember all those time that he basically put taekjoo on the edge of hell with grapes and all, he even spoiled taekjoo more in that volume to reassure taekjoo that he’s a good boyfriend now it’s actually pretty sad and funny to see. but you will honestly be surprised when you actually saw how frustrating both of them later, not just zhenya’s personality, taekjoo is a living hell in that novel as well as he chose his work over zhenya later even when they’re together and realized their feelings. both of them hurt eo tbh but in physical + mental? it’s zhenya.

but still the ending was cute either way. you just have to bear with some shitty scenes where taekjoo just wreck havoc trying to get away and zhenya slowly became a big puppy. as far as i remember, those bitter parts were quite long in novel before rainbows and sunshine, dk how long it’s going to be in manhwa tho. worth to see zhenya on his knees for taekjoo after that tbh but eh, it’s 6/10 overall for me.
