
I'm sorry but the "redemption arc" of the brother is really bad. Being sorry and being stabbed to death doesn't redeem someone after years of emotional abuse. If MC forgive him just like that I'm dropping this. He deserves to lose contact with his victim and live the rest of his life regretting having mistreated him that way while the MC get to heal away from him.
His shitty brother don't get to relieve his grief on him in the most toxic way possible and then barely do anything to be forgiven and get a good relationship with his victim.

Okay. No. I'm only at chapter 3 and I already want out. The lack of consent was already a negative point but got a free pass because they've been together 10 years and consent can be given in multiple ways when you've known the person for long enough so it get the benefit of the doubt. But I draw the line at physical violence.
I'm not gonna read this except if someone guarantee me that the toxic behavior is called out and that they'll work into mending their relationship.
