Seven Seas has released all 3 books (Doukyuusei - Sotsugyousei Winter - Sotsugyousei Spring). Get them if you really love this series - there are some parts I kinda disagree with the official translation but it’s beautifully done overall. Looking gorgeous on my bookshelf!

Loooool first image is baby Ayame and Shuu trying Mapo tofu (a spicy Chinese dish) for the first time. Apparently Shuu loved it but Ayame cried after the first bite. Last pic is Shuu proudly presents his cooking (all spicy food), adding that Ayame said whatever is fine with him. Ayame looks horrified lmao

To answer a few major questions:
1. “Returning to the ancestor” is something that can happen to all beasts, including the wolves. Once in a while there are rare babies that are born in wolf’s form and unable to transform into human shape. Those children are highly unstable especially when they are excited. Ren is one of them.
2. The medicine Ren has been taking doesn’t work for “returning to the ancestor”, but it eliminates what induces the condition, which are emotions. This is an explanation for how he was so indifferent and unsympathetic towards Kaede at the beginning. Apparently he has been taking it for a looooooong time since childhood.
3. The long term solution for this condition is to get a mate when they are coming of age. A rabbit bride was chosen because the rabbits have “strong stabling power” (cousin’s word).
4. The following part is a bit anticlimactic... basically Kaede needs to help Ren in a “Beauty and the Beast” mixed with yaoi way. You guess it.

I’m soooo desperate for more of the story! Things have just gotten better between them, and Ren is finally expressive and so damn bold (lmao). Ugh
Oh the electronic version comes with a small extra story of the two after their wedding ceremony. Apparently Ren goes out often for work and always brings some sort of gift back for Kaede. Random stuff he picks up that fill up the room to the point Kaede complains about it (lol) and so he switches to buying Kaede food. Omg I love these two

He has a nice face and untidy hair. He’s moody, appears cold and indifferent at first, then slowly warms up to you. He’s honest and not afraid of showing a little affection in private. He can act cool a second and gets flustered the next one. Most importantly, he has a mysterious illness.

Now if this don’t sum up the main protagonists in most shoujo manga out there then I don’t know what does.

Not feeling both of them, and the way they met was the worst (rape and such). Uke is a jerk and seme is so persistent he gives me chill. But you know, maybe they deserve each other and if they are both happy with that, to hell with how they met. Be happy.

Have always loved NaruSasu dj from this author. Such great interpretation and art.
