I want to see him struggle, want him to put as much effort as she did when she was trying to be his friend. Years of humiliation can't be undone by just a few " dont leave me" or a "sorry". I want to see him kneel and even then he needs to risk his life for her, or I will not accept him as the main lover. Sound kinda sadistic I now ,but if your going to make your main love interest so unlikable. He better split heaven and earth for her. I don't like that the story backtracked a little when they show " you see ? He had to do this because of this." Own it. Acknowledge it and reflect. Act and upon it.
