I read this novel and this is the part I never understood. We read that he does not want a child and even in those chapters he does express that as well. Lucia also don't want to have a child, because of the contract and because she does not want to fell in love with him. When lucia tells hin that she is ok with her condition, is not like her health is at risk or anything, he takes it like a slap in the face. Why? The book also expresses that he nows he can't have children without a special ritual, so why push her to have her condition fix if is not harming her health at anyway ? The doctor agrees that is not affecting her at all and Lucia herself does not want this to be fix. I guess because of plot.......

I think for the moment he does think it will be dangerous for her.
Not menstruating is unusual. SO now that he think about it more he feel ashamed to not have made more research about it. Because it could be dangerous for her. And he is overprotective and cherish her a lot so yeah. I think it may be that

I have to agree with Mellowbread. I felt as it was more out of concern for her. He obviously cares for her and her safety and wants to know all about her. One, this is an unusual situation for a woman. I think the other thing also was her attitude about it. She knows what the problem is and she even addressed it to Hugo before they married. I think Hugo was more angry at the situation of it all, as far as he knows now, he can't get her pregnant. And she took the problem and tried to shove it in a box in a sense. As we read in the novel, he starts to get angry because he wants her to get better and she gets defensive about it (Because there's no reason to get cured unless Hugo wanted a kid) until she reluctantly decided to get cured. I think the idea of it all hurts her more than she thinks. Hugo doesn't want children. And Lucia knows this but in her heart, she wants a child. But Lucia also wants to abide to Hugo's wishes. I also think that not having a child, Hugo knows that he is also hurting Lucia more than he thinks. I think this is also why he is angry. Because we also know later in the novel that Lucia stares longingly at the Queen's baby bump and other mother's interactions with their kids. Sorry this is long, but I think, in my opinion Hugo was angry because Lucia was trying to downplay this problem because of him. Unintentionally hurting her feelings.

Ive read the novel as well. I think the both perspective point is
Lucia: Why do I need to get treated when u don't even want me to get pregnant
Hugh: You should get treated for you own health, in either way you can't still carry my child.
As what I've understand, the real issues here are 1st.. Their contract. Which really include that she'll never have a child with him and also about her can't fall in love with her. Which I think became the real problem because obviously both already breach the contract... And the 2nd is the secret about Hugh and his clan regarding their issue about having kids.. which she have no idea about. She only thoughts that the reason why he doesn't like kids is because he already have a son whom he declare to be his successor.. in short it's lack of communication

I agree with mellowbread, not menstruating is very unusual and can be a symptom of detrimental health conditions, and imo Hugo seems upset because he brushed this off before without asking in further detail why she could not bear children when it did look like something serious to her and he could have actually avoided treating a potentially life-threatening disease because of his initial trivialization of her compared to the high regard he holds her in due to his present feelings. Bottom line is he didn't give a fuck before but now he is like oh shit, she means alot to me now I can't ignore this why did I ignore it then. This is interesting because does that mean he would have dismissed it again if he didn't develop feelings for her? Makes sense since it is consistent with his personality outside of the interactions with Lucia and the butler

maybe he is hoping of possibility as the reason?? i read a bit of novel only at the start,, but even if he know he need the ritual for her to get pregnant,, Lucia actually already did the ritual by her past self condition and the doctor sending him back to the past to do the same thing and she met hue with her present body that still undergoes the ritual because she ate the plant after menstruating and the next part is do it with hue's bloodline,, so she in definition should be pregnant,, but i didnt read far so im not sure if she did or its just a kind of another situation of her health.

Well in the novel, the doctor told Hugo a lie, that a woman would have to drink Hugo's blood in order for her to get pregnant, when in reality it was that she would have to take/eat the plant, then be given a 'cure' later on that only the doctor knows. Technically the way things are now, Lucia has only done half the 'ritual' she would still need to take the cure in order pregnant. It won't work without it. BUT, in Hugo's eyes, as of where the manhwa is right now, Hugo only knows that Lucia has to drink his blood (which is wrong). So he still thinks that Lucia has no way of getting pregnant unless she drinks his blood, which he doesn't want her to. @Asdjkl

I like that the love interest is a villan. It has been done before but this is the first time I'm like " oh no this dude is crazy! Run. Run!" But I think the author realize they made him too crazy and decided to backtrack? Which is one thing I did not like... I still like the story but I wish they would stop backtracking on him evil in the past. Instead of that, I want a redemption arc not just backtracking on his evil deeds.

1) the promise she made with that idiot guy to not date ren
2) ren personal promise to never be happy again
3) jealousy of people
Is going to be one of those that will trap them ~ I can feel it in my otaku bones. All I want is the see her face when she realize the fairy prince is ren. The same as ren, I want to see him realize she is the one giving him advises as chicken.

I think you are right but I feel like the author forgets some events. For example Reino has not appeared again in the story, Shou'parents never returned to see Kyoko and also Kyoko never called Ren's father

Hahaha me too~ I started this manga in my high school years ~ everytime I want a little refresher I see the anime version ~ because boy, sometimes I need it. I do want some fluff. I am rooting for them to secretly date if they can give me that. Hopefully they will not end up saying " well we are going to start a drama together.... we cant date until is finish"

No prob! I also have horrible english ( english is not my first language).
The manga kinda reminds me of a korea drama/telenovela, and if it's like that, they will bring out the other subplots out, but in the most painfully way possible ( misunderstandings, betrayal for not comming out clean on their identities and ext.).
If the creator really wants to wrap up the story, they will have those subplots answer as extras. It all depends on their editors, this manga can easily have another 100 chs.
A kiss is comming up soon.
Will latte kiss a....
Doll, miss twisted eyes
Arwin
One of the boy in the tower by assident
A passing dog
Sorry please only replay with who you voted for
So my theory is that its all of them.i believe that arwin will possess the doll and then the doll will be transformed into a dog, since the dog will now be arwin it will be a boy dog, as a boy dog it will be in the tower where she will kiss him on accident. Fulfilling all the requirements to be every single answer.
Lol
