I had to reread the story and i love it even more now. It's so well made. The plot is exciting and well thought out and the characters are fascinating.
The more I read, the more I like Hee-ryang. He is intelligent, cunning, honest and righteous. He always tells the truth and he fights for what he believes is right. As I interpret it, those who ruled before were greedy for money, who exploited the common people and violent. There were internal battles and people was abused.
Since Hee-ryang became Governor, things have calmed down in the area. He doesn't want to hurt innocents, and has repeatedly given Yeojon the chance to just walk away. We don't know how Yeojon's family was towards their vassals, because we haven't seen it. But if they were like the others in the clan, they were just as greedy for power.
Hee-ryang is truly one of my favorite comic characters. AND he's sooo good-looking.
Right. It has me so curious about what Yeojon's father was up to without his children knowing.
Every time I read this story I always get blown away about how incredible the art is. The artist is so talented. One of the most beautiful stories I have ever seen.
