To answer your question, the truth is they are not going for positive inspiration at all. This is based on a novel from an entire genre of melodrama meant to take the “Cinderella” trope to an epic next level. They keep the reader on an emotional roller coaster of delicious angst by having a horrible but super hot & rich ML mistreat the kind, good, doormat MC. Once MC reaches breaking point, a huge revenge / redemption arc starts to teach ML a lesson about love with big payoff at the end. These stories scratch an itch for angst lovers everywhere & are purely entertainment. No positive anything intended. There is no deeper meaning or purpose. Hope that helps lol.
