This was really good. It's slow pace but I'm not completely mad about it. I truly love all the characters and I love how it's not focused on romance despite there being a wedding and promise to be together forever. The FL does such a great job of not being an annoying child because she had gotten her memories of her past life as an adult and information of the storybook. Love her relationship with the Duke (father-daughter) and how over protective he is of both her and Damien.
Can't wait for more!!

I'm on ch. 13 and it bothers me so much how guide cha just never checks a fucking calendar. It's been 10 years, how can you completely go about your days not noticing the fucking date?

It wasn't explicitly said, but I eventually assumed that with mc's patchy memory, he forgot not only what year he was attacked, but even his year of birth. That would've solved that plot hole.
Other things bug me tho, BIG TIME #-.-). Like technological advancements. 10 years is a long time, even considering human progress and economic production of materials is slowed down by the ongoing apocalypse, there's gotta be significant tech advancements visible like the microscopes used in mc's labs. You're telling me that the mc, the so-called smart doctor at a young age, didn't notice how advanced some things were compared to before??
There's also the pills he's been taking. He's in the biomedical field. Even considering biochemistry isn't his specialization, he would have to be familiar with the names of some of them, right? He was handed a bottle of pills, that would've been labelled. He wasn't even curious to see his own medical records?
Honestly, I'm glad I'm not like, genius levels of smart like say, Neil deGrasse Tyson. I'm this dumb and the way the author let details slide clumsily, all on the name of making mc this gary stu-ish smart character, is just ticking me off already.
Why tf am I crying about a slime escaping down the river for safety?
It was so sadddddd
