i also don't think is a big deal, but with ML feeling like people only approach him with ulterior motives or just to "use" him, he can feel hurt that MC got close to him because of it. so I think that's probably why he doesn't tell him
I just don't understand. She knows her tutor is evil right? (I could be mistaken because of the long wait for an update) So why is she taking his words for it? Plus the constant need of reassurance from her dad is tiring but I get it since she has those insecurities.
i do think it was a bit silly to keep repeating it as well but then i understand that she still clearly has not moved on from her past and the way how she was being treated in the book. you can still tell that she still holds her distance from people within the family just a lot less. it’s hard to understand and comprehend why she reacts in that way if you haven’t been in the same situation as her but everyone also goes through things differently. she understands and knows whatever the guy says can’t be trusted but the concept of being a dragon and having a family that actually cares for you is not something you’ll get and trust overnight and she has been knocked out for like several years too.
