Hate is a strong word so maybe not hate but i dislike her to the point that it almost a feeling of hate. The damn woman is soo manipulative. Sure, she's a better fl than the typical stupid, weak & annoying fl but she's still unlikable as a person.
Like when they're surrounded by the goblin, she just stood there yapping her mouth about how the goblin is weird but did nothing. At first i thought ok coz she's a healer but later it showed that she could defeat 2 goblin at once like it was nothing & btw it was a suprise attack. Moreover, how could a supposedly 'weak' 'healer' who couldn't fight carry an unconcious man w/ a body like a WWE fighter.
Besides that, when they were running from the goblin, how fast does your stamina runs out woman. You're a freaking adventurer, even if you're a healer your stamina shouldn't be that shitty. Not to mention, you just walk for a couple of minutes unlike everyone else who has been walking for hours. I think you just want a free ride on that one.
Other thing is when in the control room. She's been yapping like she knows it all, she's smart, has gone through many labyrinth yada yada but then didn't think that a facility like that could block unauthorize users like wtf. & the way she talk & her expression when she's talking to the others who is fighting for their lives really pisses me off.
Lastly, who the f**k sits on an injured person who btw just saved your stinking ass. Even as a joke that's just too much. & her reason is coz her butt couldn't handle the hard bed?? Stupid. Plus, she dares to say to the person that has been carrying her ass & saved her life that they owed her???!!! WTF is going on. Where is your common sense bitch. By that point i'm not even gonna blame the mc if he just ditch her but he didn't coz he's a simp & too kind hearted.
P/s: yes i know lapis said she know that it's cruel to tie him to money but if she knows that then she shouldn't have done it in the first place. At least tell him the truth & ask him to join you instead of manipulating him into debt.
I agree with what you're saying mostly. I do have some things I want to add though. When you consider that she is a demon kin and they said that demon kin act for their own benefit as a general rule, it's understandable she would be that way.
Just thinking about how she would be raised by her parents and other demon kin, she would adopt a mentality of "people aren't going to do things just because I ask them to, so I need to offer something in exchange." Based on that logic that was likely instilled in her since she was a very young child, she wouldn't want to be honest and just ask him to travel with her without having some kind of plan to convince him to say yes.
It could also be seen as her being shy and just not wanting to outright admit that she wanted to travel with him because she finds him interesting. And to be fair, would you say yes to someone asking to travel with you if they give the reason "I find you interesting"? I, personally, would run the other direction as fast as I could (which is not very fast since I am a potato, but still).
And the thing with her hiding her abilities in the ruins is understandable for her situation. She already risked it by telling the MC about her being demon kin and she couldn't really move properly before because of the whole mana thing. People hate the demon kin for being selfish/manipulative pricks, so she has to hide the fact that she is one by default to have any hope of people not hating her/trying to kill her (there's always fanatics in these types of stories...) So, she couldn't really show the silver ranked party her physical abilities. They also already had the impression that she was physically weak because of how they met, and that would be hard to explain without telling them the whole story.
I do agree that she's highly manipulative and by normal human standards she is a bitch, but I appreciate that she was written in a way that makes sense for her background so far. She also never really told an outright lie, so despite her being clearly manipulative, it's hard to see her as "bad" per se. She definitely does act for her own self interest, but remember that she also asked him to leave her behind and just escape when they were originally running from the goblin nest. I just don't see a reason to dislike her so much. I find her refreshing compared to the normal useless women or the totally irredeemable "killing arouses me~" sadistic seductress types in this sub-genre manga. I mean, can you really blame the girl for trying to keep herself alive? Not everyone can be heroic like that Safree tried to be. That might even be a theme in this, since they did make the dude who was actively trying to be a hero into a total douche, and then kill him off for his stupidity to make the MC look even more awesome.

Yeah that’s totally fair lol. I just wanted to do some ranting of my own there. I know a lot of people, myself included, that tend to get misunderstood because people don’t know where they’re coming from when they act a certain way. I was just using my reply as a chance to get some of that frustration out without having to confront people IRL.
