omg gah damn she actually had to hug her son’s guts and intestines that’s fucked up no lie anyways,, why does she go naked everytime she tryna sleep I’m js confused but she’s still mother to me
I just interpreted her going naked as a symbolism for rebirth (her finally becoming into a different person completely by completing the steps of becoming a murderer) since she often only does it before she’s abt to start her new kill. And her hugging her sons stuff and also her son could also represent her maternal connection with him (yk how moms give birth basically almost naked and the doctors would give their babies to them also pretty much naked), so idk maybe it also highlights vulnerability
Or maybe I’m js analysing it way too much and it actually doesn’t mean anything
But still weird and out of place regardless cus it came out of nowhere
No problem!! Also I js wanted to add the fact abt vulnerability since it sounded vague in my reply:
I also think it highlights vulnerability because we don’t often see the mom naked at all, especially when she does sexual favours with the bully’s boss and the principal of the school (she was always seen clothed), and that she only undresses when it comes to hugging her son (perhaps this physical intimacy with her son is much more precious in comparison to her intimacy with others as those are mostly based on give-and-take). Maybe her true body is sacred to her, perhaps she still wants to cling to a part of her past that was still pure and bright (since her son was still alive) and not only the dark and bleak present where she becomes a ruthless killer. I believe clothing is another symbolism of her hiding her true self, as the only person who she ever allows to be vulnerable and know her true self is her son (so far we only see her being open about her past when she talks about it with her son in comparison to her husband who only dismissed her worries when she talked abt her son), and also because his death was basically the start of the building blocks of her becoming a new person

NOOOO THAT WAS SO BITTERSWEET
