i’ve read some chapters of this in the novel version before. heinley’s friend (the man with rashta) gave some advice to rashta, which is to divert the attention of others to the duchess (so that the issue/rumors about rashta will lessen), that’s why she’s “acting” dumb (dunno if i should call it acting when she’s really dumbass). and thanks to duke ergy’s back up, rashta was able to make issue about the duchess.

i finally fucking finished reading this at exactly 3:04 in the fucking morning, like literally read this straight. UHHH really, at first i thought nam eunsoo liked bae eunsoo, coz’ she gives off the vibe that would sexually intimidate women.. but FUCK i was fucking really pissed at her and that fucking sookhyun (well, all of them are annoying, only damon is the only sane character here). But you know, this manhwa really showed me the types of people you meet and what the society can do to mold your own personality. Honestly, if i were Bae Eunsoo, being pressured by the society like that, i would’ve given up a long time ago, but 50/50 thanks to her self-centered attitude. i rate this manhwa 7/10, so many plot twists. didn’t tell how exactly the reason behind kiwoon’s death. another thing that made this manhwa off, is that how the female lead doesn’t show any progress on moving on/acceptance of her fiance’s death, like how you do that girl... really felt sorry for kiwoon, knowing his backstory, what he did at his room, drowning himself in drugs just to forget all those pain inflicted at him... it’s true, you can’t judge a person based on his outside/physical appearance, see... he was smiling a lot, but then, suicided.
i think she was remorseful about her fiance commiting suicide because you could see how she communicated with the spirit of Kiwoong before getting her revenge in the party, saying that it will all be over. And Kiwoong wasn't in the right state of mind having undergone drug and mental abuse from both Eunsoo and Sookhyun so maybe he was more private about it and in the end his smile was just a facade to keep bae eunsoo happy. but damn he did get a sad ending :(
