Same... I don't understand the plot right now. Is he an omega or not??

I think the MC (suppose to be omega but note really like artificially) was force to have the identification as the youngest son (which already died I think) of the ... pharmaceutical company (can't remember the name) but he is not related to the owner of the pharmaceutical company he was just their test subject. Then the owner of that pharmaceutical has an illegitimated son which took the previous identity of the MC.

- In this universe, alphas & omegas are really rare, especially in Korea. After the discovery of these traits, Jodong Pharmaceutical quickly rose to the top as one of the leading researchers on this topic. However, unbeknownst to the public, Jodong Pharmaceutical gathered a bunch of kids who had high potential to become omegas & experimented on them. 1 boy was the sole survivor (we don’t know if the other kids died┗( T﹏T )┛or were just kicked out of the program). He was given the identity of “Han Sanyul”, an omega with a weak body who is the beloved youngest son of Jodong Pharmaceutical’s Director Han. Jodung Pharmaceutical used Han Sanyul to gain positive public opinion, going as far as claiming that since one of their representatives has an omega son, the company aims to help those who suffer from these specific traits rather than for corporate profit/interests lol.

- Unfortunately, Sanyul never manifested as an omega. Jodung Pharmaceutical shot themselves in the foot by publicizing Han Sanyul’s existence. Even the imperial family was interested in him since Prince Lee Reok had manifested as an alpha. So Director Han decided to keep deceiving people & made a plan to gain even more money, this time from the Imperial family.

- The prince had been burdened by how others view him as a stereotypical alpha which got worse over time. Since Prince Lee Reok and Han Sanyul had both manifested a secondary gender & were of similar ages (prince is 20 & Hanyul is 18), naturally the public kinda shipped them lol. Using this to his advantage, Director Han helped spread rumors to make sure the prince couldn’t refuse the marriage proposal. While the prince knows that Jodong Pharmaceutical is sus, he feels he has no choice but to join forces with them. He’s not the crown prince & hasn’t done anything impressive yet so he feels he has no support. And remember, Jodong Pharmaceutical has a good public image thanks to Director Han and Han Sanyul’s (fake) sad backstory. What the prince expects to happen is that he’ll go to the military for most of the engagement to wait for the rumors to die down & while Jodong Pharmaceutical improves prejudiced views of omegas/alphas which they promised to do. Then after 3 years, the couple will break up & blame it on the media that has been harassing them over the years. He believes this to be a win-win situation for both parties involved. What he doesn't know is that Director Han will claim monetary compensation from the imperial family, saying that no one would marry his poor son now that the imperial family broke off the marriage (I’m sure this is some misogynistic feudal shit).

- Up to this point, Sanyul’s identity was known but his face was kept secret so Director Han used this opportunity to “legitimize” his own illegitimate son by introducing him to the world as “Han Sanyul” and our MC was given a new identity as “Kim Chulsoo” who is fake Sanyul’s study friend so he could enter the palace with fake Sanyul. While MC didn’t manifest as an omega, his body has similar reactions to one (probably from all the drugs he took poor bb) so Jodong Pharmaceutical wanted to see what would happen if he were around a real alpha. MC continues to participate/contribute to experiments under Sanyul’s name including taking medicine (the vial with the blue liquid) and I think putting something up his rosebud. The purpose of that hasn’t been explained yet and I didn’t catch it while skimming the raws.

- Fake “Sanyul” is very promiscuous (really lives up to stereotypes about his fake gender lol) and an abusive asshole to MC so he doesn’t have a good reputation within the palace. He resents MC a lot since he’s required to make sure MC completes whatever tasks Jodong Pharmceuticals needs him to do.
