I still don't like. The slander and complete child-like demeanor of the prince seems so out-of-left field compared to how he was from the beginning. He might have been scummy but he had a decent handle on things; he knew how to keep/ maintain his image and had some knowledge on how to do politics. His current actions just scream politcally and emotionally incompetent that seem extremely far-fetched considering from what I've seen previously and the extensive knowledge he must have received as a prince. I understand the arrogance but he seemed to have just been carried my his personal feelings which makes no sense to me for his character. Honestly, it kinda just seems to be a desperate and last minute move on the author's part to find a justifable reason to make the duke into the king.
I agree....this is what most the manwhas/mangas with reincarnation plots do....they make ridiculous twist or make a character suddenly like what was done to prince to further the lead's plot without any sense..... that's why i dropped it....got too boring and it's like duchess's tea is so good that it makes the emperor wanna give her hubby the crown...wtf
Agreed again, mc is awesome the tea is great but when push comes to shove it's still just hot leaf juice there's no justifiable reason to overturn the monarchy over an elegant lady with tea other than the fact it's fiction imagine hearing queen Victoria doing this they'd say dementia and we'd all agree, but we need a villain I guess so sorry prince you're getting sacrificed
i dunno. he took it too far this time. but from the beginning he was shamelessly trying to spend time alone with the duchess like he had no respect for their marriage and just wanted the satisfaction of seeing her fawn over him and validate his ego of being able to get any woman he wants. he was more rational before but was never very emotionally mature.
What is the author doing with the character of the prince? This is not... ugh... the character degradation and absolute incompetence of the prince makes no sense and came out of nowhere for me. It seems like he was simply drugged and out of his freaking mind rn. It's a mess for me, my appreciation for this manhwa is seriously going down with how the author just decided to make the prince an antagonist and basically a punching bag only further glorify the main couple
true asf its like they just wanted to do something so the main couple can shine more and more but the reason for it is actually so stupid and becoming a mess instead, its getting boring how highly ppl respect the main couple like they dont even go through challenging moments to shine just some stupid moments like this ugh
Yessss. The beginning was so good cause the previous antagonists had genuine reasons to try and sabotage chloe. Like jealous or an inferiority complex but the prince like hisnreason is stupid and also his attempts are stupid as well. If he did a better job at getting at chloe like maybe fraiming her with undeniable evidence then the story would be more interesting. If the prince is now obsessed with chloe out of nowhere at least make him a good villain not a bagoon.
Ok I just made of post of Why I don't like Helena while also making sure to say that that I don't hate because I understand her circumstances. A lot of people have expressed obvious dislike for Helena as well but I want to double back and make sure that most people agree that the REAL TRASH AND VILLAINS are the powerful men- AKA the shitty Crown Prince, right?
I don't like Helena, I don't hate her though. She doesn't seem like a scheming girl but the way she is portrayed and even views herself as helpless causes great strife for me and seriously hinders me from developing any kind of affection for this character.
Based off her on point-of-view, I can only view her as incompetent. While I understand she has ABOSLUTELY ZERO power in refusing the requests of others or combating the abuse of the og Eris, I still can't help see her as compliant and basically having this mood of "oh well, what can I do" despite being fully aware that she is at the center stage that greatly influences not only herself but the treatment of others around her- be it noble girls or lowest servant. It just leaves a really sour taste in my mouth knowing she has a compliant stance along with the fact she's like I'll forgive anything Eris does because I saw her cry... who are you? Virgin Mary? Are you a f*cking moron? Do you not value yourself and therefore are reluctant to stand up for yourself and/or others?
Looking back, these feelings may stem from internalized misogyny that makes women view other women ridiculously harsh because we've been internalize to see other women as rivals and therefore drag eachother down while maintaining or even uplifting the status of men. Maybe plenty of this dislike may stem from the fact that Helena is not the MC, like a lot of people had suggested.
At this point, I just want Helena to escape the grasp of these men-who are obviously taking advantage of their power without acknowledging how the consequences of their decisions may impact Helena herself or others- and live out her life in peace where she would able to have a normal life and have a normal relationship that is more healthy and balanced. I just want a win for the women whose life is pretty much determined by the wheems of men.
I found it interesting that you mentioned internalized misogyny because it made me question why I felt annoyed with her even after this chapter. I believe in some cases you’re right but on the other hand I found that my irritation comes from her weak portrayal. I hate it when the MC has a savior complex and just accepts their fate of being harassed without putting the effort to change the situation; instead helplessly waiting for someone to come to her rescue (in this case the prince and the best friend.)
“Do you not value yourself and therefore reluctant to stand up for yourself and/or others?” This right here. Beautiful. And what I found is that it’s mostly women who are portrayed this way though. Why? No matter how strong willed the FL is it always circulates back to a man. Back to them not being able to defend themselves when it really matters. The reason- at least I think- why everybody is so frustrated by her comes from a hatred towards the misogynistic characteristics Helena’s character portrays. I do completely agree with everything you said though, LET OUR WOMAN FREE

I have never felt more dirty in my life after reading smut. Omg . I was wondering why this manga had a rating of 6.7 and my naive little mind thought, "pshh! It can't be that bad, what's the worst that can happened that haven't already seen?" All of it, that's what! I want to throw up... God! I DON'T WANT TO GO TO BED BECAUSE I KNOOOWWWWW IT WILL FOLLOW ME IN MY DREAMS!!!!! (/TДT)/
