The fact that the brother treated Soongap the same way their father treated soongap's mother....except the mom had no one to rely on after the dad killed her lover so she ended up offing herself, and soongap tried to do the same.....
You could even see that the dad looked somewhat (sad?) when she cried and called him cruel but he still kept her for himself. The brother is exactly like the father.
