Aww this chapter reminds me of my little sister and me about 6 years ago. We were 15 and 13, she’d start complimenting actresses non stop and I’d just casually agree and say things like yep she does look like your type. Growing up in a religious family we never talked about sexual orientation for years but both knew very well neither of us was straight. Only difference is our parents are hella homophobic, unfortunately. I still remember one day we were out with my father and she wanted to buy a rainbow pride shirt and my father snapped at her going on how bad it was and how we should never buy rainbow clothes that it was evil and bla bla bla she was very sad but then I reminded her the rainbow flag is just the pride flag and while it was meaningful, as a girl, she’d have another flag to represent her own sexuality anyway, and that our parents will have absolutely no idea what it means. Out of spite she wore nothing but pink head.to.toe for the next week lmao literally just.pink. My parents thought it was so weird bc it was not a color she’d usually wear I thought it was hilarious I still tease her about it from time to time
