Dohyun came back smelling of women's perfume and lipstick on his shirt. Wonhae confronted him and Dohyun said Wonhae was being childish and it can't be helped because it's for work. Now, who exactly caused the break-down in communication?

Again, both were at fault. Dohyun ain’t no damn saint either. Yeah he could have been more understanding towards Wonhae’s feelings as well. But I highly doubt that Dohyun was like “oh yeah I’m gonna go to these work parties and come home with perfume and lip stick stains on purpose to make my boyfriend feel like shit.” Yeah he was pretty shitty dismissing Wonhae’s concerns. Could he have been better, absolutely. But unlike Wonhae, Dohyun didn’t have a choice. It was for his work. But he could have done better about not putting himself in a situation where those lipstick stains would be on him, and to not smell like perfume. LGBT isn’t supported in Korea obviously, and Dohyun could have done a better job, but like every character there is a balance between your life and love. Again not saying that it gave Dohyun the right to act that way, but is isn’t exactly unexpected.

At the end of the day, Dohyun didn’t PURPOSELY go out of his way to make Wonhae feel like shit. Wonhae went out of his way to manipulate the situation and “make” his partner feel like shit because he wasn’t paying attention to him.

If that isn’t toxic then I don’t fuckin know what is lmao.

I don't accept the, "it's for work so there's no choice" argument in this case. Going on random dates with women is not part of the job description anywhere. As Wonhae said, he is hurting Wonhae, deceiving all the women he is going on dates with by giving them hope, and deceiving his superiors who are setting him up on those dates. He was eventually able to buy a ring to fend off requests for dates when he felt the relationship is under threat, so why not do it to begin with when Wonhae was distressed? It shows a level of apathy and lack of concern for a partner that I find quite disturbing. But yeah, I guess what each person considers worse behavior depends on their own life experiences. So I'll leave it at that.

Uh maybe I am wrong but from I have read from a few Asian cultures ( Japanese, Chinese, and Korean) jobs tend to prefer and promote married men. And the bosses tend to hook capable people up with their relatives . Say no well you end up demoted or in the other ukes cases transfered. You have to do what you can to please them some times saddly. We can't really look at their society and compare it to ours cause even those drinking parties are part of work. They can't skip and have to keep the boss happy. Not defending the seme cause he should have had more boundaries to not get perfume and kiss marks and to not go on so many blind dates but I can see why he did it based on his environment. He thought that was his change at success. If anything at least he told Me explained to the uke why he was doing it. Don't get me wrong I would be pissed to but that's a time you break up not prevent to cheat. Once you break someones trust goodluck getting it back. And even if it was fake, what proof did he have? That seems more like the excuse someone caught in the act gives. Also blind dates even here people go out of obligation. I don't see it as him lieing to those girls cause not all will be 100% interested in him or even want to be their like him.

Yes, married employees are considered more reliable and bosses tend to try to set up capable subordinates on blind dates with relatives. But, "I can't because I'm seeing someone" is a perfectly valid answer. Because it won't end with going on dates. Dohyun didn't say a word against it when his drunk boss started calling him son-in-law. So, if he goes on a blind date with the daughter and the daughter likes him, and the boss starts pushing to take it forward, is he going to marry her? It's a slippery slope. Refusing later will affect his career a lot more and he'd very likely go along with it if it comes to that. Wonhae has every reason to be pissed and Dohyun didn't care how he felt. About trust, like I said before, I find it extremely disturbing that Dohyun is so fully convinced that Wonhae cheated on him and yet he refuses to let him go. Dohyun told Gyulwoo that they broke up multiple times but Dohyun keeps going back and apologizing and asking to get back together. We also see that he keeps texting Wonhae asking him to take his calls even though they have already broken up. Why would you refuse to let go of someone you don't trust and keep pestering them? Doesn't that strike you as odd?
