i love karhan and the way his character is written sooo so much, like i know there's a lot of characters that basically has the same trope that he does but the way karhan is spefically written felt so unique and it felt so realistic. and yes, i fucking hate karhan's mother but oh my god, the way his backstory is built, how he do stuff for the sake of being loved, how him being neglected had made him so starved for love and made him a people pleaser (which is curb by his assistant lmao), it felt so perfect
and the way that even after war, he doesn't lose that kindness nor does he suddenly become fearless to stand up against his mother. the fact that he, strong as he is, still struggled to deal with his mother is so painful but also hit so close to home for me because god knows it doesn't matter how strong you get, it somehow felt like you turned into a helpless child the moment you tried to stand up for yourself against your toxic parents
and i love when he knock on his mother's door, trying to tell her that he's now with ilya bloden. i felt so proud of him, of how that simple moment felt so heavy and meaningful bcuz that's literally the first time iirc that he actually stated something to his mother that was strongly against her wishes (at first) and i know that take a hell lot of courage

if this is real life, shit like this that happened between "friends" is not usually easily being called out as attempted sexual assault by the victim and even less, by the perpetrator because both of these people in this situation usually tried to downplayed what happened (the victim usually downplaying it due to previous positive relationship with the said perpetrator)
in this situation, when not even the victim (ewan) had grasped that what they did is basically attempted sexual assault, it's usually someone else that need to gave that wake up call to him or else, it's going to be months or even years of processing the shit that happened before he even realized the gravity or the seriousness of what had happened
this shit mostly happened in relationships that is "mostly good" hence making the bad shit that had happened "isn't that bad" when it is in fact actually that bad
easiest example is between a child and parent, if the parent is mostly loving, mostly caring but once they're angry, they beat the kid up. in most cases, even until the kid has grown up and be an adult who understand toxic relationship, they wouldn't call what their parent did as abusive (even if it is) because their parents had been mostly rlly good to them so to them, their loving parent couldn't ever possibly be called abusive

oh god, i love taegun's character and i love the way the artist potrayed him. i know a lot of ppl would probably found him frustrating or a typical tsundere whatever character but the way we see how he have his own chibi little thoughts fighting each other is so perfect with representing how trauma can lead you to be paranoid and have some very irrational instinct and that, even tho you have logical thinking, it's hard to battle that instinct.

i will never not love this part, it's just so rare that we see the mc fully indulge in revenge that is not his own, torturing the abuser in such particular details. like the way cale never even reprimand raon desire for revenge, giving him full support. outwardly, he doesn't look that angry or emotional abt it but he stayed for the entire time of the torture for raon sake, i just love them so much
