The real problem was their father. He allowed his step-mom to have too much control and to raise his own kids alkongside his half-siblings (the monster blondies). Since the oldest brother wanted them to feel cared for, he basically put them above his own siblings, which resulted in the current situation.

Nope, his face ain't pretty, the artist just took a random jewel brush and painted on his face, would have looked nice if they had drawn it themselves, the blending is unnatural as some jewels seems to have gone inside his eyes in few panels and looks quite painful to have so many jewels being pressed under the mask, they could have gone for a pattern atleast, it's all random and a very bad artistic choice as the bold red doesn't go with his blue hairs and make the jewel stick out like a sore thumb.

I thought it was a wide smile lmao so yeah it is silly to have that detail when whole page is covered with her dress and in gliter with monotone colors, Gold doesn't stand out on pale skin tone and with pink color it's almost looks like extra noise nothing else.
