The last time I checked, this isn't a tragedy story.
I meant that for one there are stories where the mc killed themselves at the end. There was one internet novel that made me upset for weeks on end. The whole story was about a guy battling mental illness and the illness won out in the end.
Also the way it makes me feel every time I read this. With how sad our mc is it should have a tragedy tag. He was orphaned as a child. Then abandoned. He has severe commitment and trust issues because of his abandonment. The one time he tried to connect he was abandoned again only to get into a relationship to find out he was deceived right from the start. He is broken enough that his mind drifts to. thoughts of how he can’t bear it anymore. It’s definitely tragic even if it heads to a happy ending.
Oh and let’s not forget how the moment he thinks he’ll overwork himself to deal with things he finds 9ut he is set to be “abandoned” again by the brother that is the root of his issues to begin with.

I grew up privileged in the philippines but growing up my family were part of medical missions (little me always went cause we were always short staffed) going to islands with no access to healthcare or even running water. So that part of that story hit me so hard cause i have seen so many kids malnourished and have died. This hit me in the heart since i experienced something so similar.
