I can’t believe how love blind he was to Rastha until Navier left him. As soon as Navier left him he saw all the flaws there were with Rastha and paid no attention to her
To be fair though he knew Rashta wasnt fit for being empress. He never wanted her to stop being the empress he was just too greedy for wanting everything all at once. Overall he got baited by her ""innocence"" and how she wasnt used to nice things and he showered her with everything too fast. He neglected both women by never making sure Rashta wasnt surged by all the power and money all at once. And also for monitoring her decisions too late. Then Navier because he failed to realize that she wasnt cold, just keeping a face in front of others like a good empress
In a way he got his just desserts as in that’s what you get letting this happen. If saying it in the right way
I already read this but I’m reading it again and there are some things that don’t make sense like when we get to where the fl and ml start fighting I don’t see there son anymore and also they start to call each other husband and wife but I don’t recall them having a wedding
