If I may say, I would say that in the novel their reencounter is really messed up...

Tess is the president of the student council (or something like that) and she sees Arthur having a fight (truthly saying he was trying to stop the real fight) and then they pretend to don't know each other and Tess yells at him saying that students need to behave and whatever, so he yells back, turn around and just leave.
This part left me dumbfounded when I read it because I was expecting some kind of romance but there was none...

I think none of that would have happened if they hadn't pretended that they didn't know each other.
If the conversation went like this everything would have been fine:
_Hi Arthur, long time no see, what happened?
_Hi Teass, good to see you again, I was just trying to stop the fight over there.
_Ah, ok then.
But no, conversation didn't occured in that moment...
Marie knows she's being used and she's ok with it because hat's what she wants anyway, for the prince to choose a crown princess. It's a win-win for her.
That's because she doesn't know rachel will end up throwing her away in the next chapters. She shouldn't have offered help to any of the queen candidates. It's gonna be a whole mess
its good for marie...cause those candidates wont be chosen, i mean they are just making prince furious anyway
ye that's the problem she doesn't know :// well I hope this will make her grow more as a character
