Yeah as far as I remember MC brought Cha to Japan to look at the stars or whatever then because of that he couldn’t ‘transfer to another place’ power be have so when something big happened in Sokor he couldn’t go as quickly as possible to assist. So in return there were many casualties. I am not sure if I remember the right details but that’s the overall vibe of what happened in the novel
