Jin-Woo is a sacrifice so that the shadow monarch comes back and gets rid of the humans basically. When the Angel says “don’t interrupt the kings slumber” Jin woo is getting the memories back but that’s when the monarch is meant to go in his body meaning that the shadow monarch is the king n Jin-Woo isn’t...
but in the end Jin-Woo doesn’t become the shadow monarch bc when he sees the hunters basically dying he kills the angel’s body (but it’s not really dead because it’s a whole other entity)

lol no I re read it n basically even after getting the black head (the shadow monarchs heart) he still is able to have his ego/body/soul n that’s why he doesn’t become the monarch when that happens but he still kills the Angel

Their interaction is only once and fairly serious and I can only remember few soft moments in that. Osborne truly adores Jinwoo. So yeah. I choked out a little in that chapter.
