God those last chapters resemble me Stefan Zweig's letter from an unknown woman; There was a part that she said she didn't want to say him that that child was his. That she kept the child hidden from him in a way he didn't even know that he (the child) was theirs. It was because she knew what would happen if he knew. She knew he would take responsibility of child but also resent her or doubt her as he's not their child. That she would trap the man of she loved whole as a bird in cage. So she never told he had a son and she raised him by herself.
Ercella did opposite of Zweig's character. She married under the name of politics but it wasn't that case. She longs for him and loves with her whole but they first married under the name of politics so she cannot change and erase his doubts over her. Zweig's character really loved him but she couldn't be able to express it either. Like what can you say to make that person understand how much you love and long for that person? Ercella handled everything and stand in front of everyone tried to stand front of Harsen. What's happening right now because of they married under the name of political marriage.
Harsen cannot understand her because when things are happening under obligation even how much u try to say or explain it. That person would still hold doubt even they believes in you. He thinks he's a tool for her to save her family. Doubts are definitely the worst. I wish he could be able to understand what she meant saying "her best choice"
Didn't they fall in love too quick? Like it makes no sense at all
