hate to say it and rain on the parade, but i gotta agree.
there is definitely more to a relationship than physical intimacy and sexual relations, but if you try to maintain a "romantic" relationship with "platonic" actions only (and also seem to reject such intimacy) then that relationship will not last.
it'll either result in neither side ever getting what they want out of the relationship or one party constantly sacrificing their personal feelings to accommodate the other party.
there is hope if Hirano's feelings gradually change over time as he maybe grows more comfortable with physical intimacy from Kagi, but if not... then sadly it'd be better for Hirano to completely reject Kagi rather than draggin him through an eternally platonic relationship.
