Overall I don’t want Leoni to struggle but I would like to see her challenge than with someone like the first prince.

Pretty sure that was the queen consort, so she's a legitimate child. There's the empress and then consorts. All would be legal wives of the king so none of the children born from these wives would be illegitimate. Pleta seems to be the only child of the queen consort before she passed. The rest are the empress' bloodline. Only reason I'm questioning it is because the translation said first empress so it would be that Pleta's mother was the original empress and the MC's mom was queen consort until the first empress passed.
Maybe I’m being negative but I don’t like that whenever another character is introduced to Saki they have to tell her whole past. What if the person doesn’t like her and that helps them to bully her?
