I don’t think he could have cause first of all the blondie is a well known person, so we don’t know if anyone will trust him. Plus he needed proof hence the glasses recorder. Two if he did call the police and they came over, there is a chance the body is already disposed of and the blonde guy will kill him. I’m not saying what he’s doing is not stupid but he would’ve have never guessed the guy would have someone captive too.

Well, to be fair, he *tried* reporting it (see previous chapters)... But after the police didn't take it seriously at all due to the guy being a famous *crime* author of all things, and people making stuff like that up apparently not being uncommon, he realized he would need to get his hands on actual concrete evidence first, like 'Fruit is tasty' pointed out.
And that's what he was trying to do. That was the exact reason why he even went to that second appointment - knowingly risking his life - to begin with: to get evidence. Which, imho, was actually a very brave thing to do. I know *I* definitely wouldn't have had the nerve to risk my life like that to get evidence on a killer, going back to his flat after escaping once. In fact, I'm pretty sure the vast majority of us wouldn't, irl.
