Grace isn’t the original heroine. The mc is in the body of the original heroine and grace is just an extra in the original story that’s trying to take her place as the og heroine

Nvm I read spoilers and found out grace has the soul of the original heroine but they didn’t want to go on the expedition so they took over grace’s body and made mc do all the hard work.

(What I don’t get is that og heroine plans to get her body back at some point, so why is she making all the men fall for grace/new body?? It feels counterintuitive?)

Honestly don’t know much more than what I said, I just read a spoiler in the comments haha. I do know that it’s revealed that the father was also in on it and is actually an asshole who’s trying to help with the schemes of his real daughter.(his worry he shows for mc is more like worry for the wellbeing of the body of his daughter, rather than actually about mc) so it’s a pair of scheming dad and daughter who dragged mc into it for no reason

I can only hope the story ends with the og daughter’s soul disappearing and the original grace getting her body back cause she seems to be innocent in all this, but I dunno cause I didn’t read any more spoilers lol

Hi so! Take this with a grain of salt, I read these spoilers from these comment sections AGES ago.



The reason Grace/og MC is doing all of the brainwashing is precisely because she wasn't able to take back her body from the MC. Remember in the beginning how MC had been in a coma/between life and death/something like that, after the whole expedition? That had been Grace & her dad's attempt to get her body back. It didn't work, so they had to resort to other methods for Grace to "get back what she deserves". She's basically always been selfish, she wanted the power and position gained from the expedition but didn't want to put any work into it, so she had someone else take her body and do the job for her, then take back the glory and attention of it all. They've been using dark magic for all of this soul-swapping, if I remember right + ofc all the manipulation etc as well.

Ahhh okay yeah that makes sense.







But they seem to be planning to get her body back at some point? So the whole brainwashing thing feels counterproductive, unless the decision happens later in the story. Cause the father is already like focusing on “preserving” his daughter’s body so I thought he was doing it for the swap

I'd assume they're still going to attempt it, but because of how selfish and impatient Grace is, she wanted to reap the benefits immediately --> brainwashing. That's my guess at least ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Ahhhh like, she doesn’t even want to see current mc getting fawned over by the guys she “deserves”
