Like any isekai plot, this story revolve around people deserving second chances. Our MC deserve to change her mind, be positive and confident and happy. Our baby Elle deserve to grow up content beside her birth parents, yes, both of his parents. Not beside that snake. Our ML here deserve to correct his past mistakes. His biggest regret. He won't ever forget his sin, but he still deserve to have a happy ending too.
Forgiveness may be hard to be given, and people may never forget, but another chance can make your life much better. If you can't give that to other people, how would you feel when people won't ever give you another chance to redeem yourself in the future?
You can forgive but not forget. You also deserve another chance.
But you know what? A certain old, decrepit, trash geezer does NOT deserve any chance. Same with a certain snake. Let them die in a ditch somewhere please thank you.

You know, that novel Persona? Is a GENIUS idea. The fact that everything is just POV from the MC, a false one at that, is just *chefs kiss*. Better still if the author will release another novel titled Gospel or Truth or something similar, where it's anything BUT the MC's POV. I would read that tbh.

You know, Melissa is lucky that she only have like what, 3 people that she brings everywhere for her adventures, so 3 (maybe 4) people only would worry for her like that.
Imagine if she have, say, a master sword, an assassin butler, a badass mage, a chef slash torture expert, a whole horde of wolf kids and their loyal older brother, and especially 3-young-but-definitely-not-weak non-human children. At the very least. Following her.
Yea, imagine that. She will get a headache far worst than what she have now lol.

So hey, I'm being boring here but here's what I know about this apparently popular genre. Be sure to correct me if I'm wrong. So basically the isekai types that I know of are;
Transmigrator - transferred into a different body who's previously occupied by another soul. Example: Cale Henituse from Trash of the Count's Family.
Reincarnator - born into a new body after death aka starting over from a baby. Example: Arthur from The Beginning After The End.
Regressor - brought back into an earlier time in your own body aka going back to your own past. Example: Yoo Joonghyuk from Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint.
There's also another type where you're crossing over, or getting isekai'd if you will, with your real body. It could be through a portal like Kagome from Inuyasha, or summoned over like Naofumi from The Rising of the Shield Hero.
He punched a wall to feel manly again.
