You're so right!! I really liked that fact x3

maoshmao September 7, 2016 3:24 pm

That job hunting chapter tho, real world is so frustrating. Agghs

    Natasha September 7, 2016 4:23 pm

Yeah, job hunting is the worst.

    Miara September 7, 2016 7:19 pm
Yeah, job hunting is the worst. @Natasha

It really is, there was a time that I have applied for so many jobs but I was rejected till a shop decided to offer me an interview and then I was lucky enough to get a job after being rejected like 60 times is really frustrating

    JustAnotherCuriousKat September 7, 2016 7:55 pm

yea i applied and went to interviews but the same thing happened "we're sorry but the position as taken" or "We need someone with more experience" or my favorite "We'll keep you on file when we have an opening" like yeah thanks for all the nervous panic attacks and sleepless nights

It's even worse when you're "overqualified" for this position. Like really, how can that be can I'm actually trying to get a job here. (╬ ̄皿 ̄)

    *Sakura* September 8, 2016 2:25 am

My favorite rejection I received after I graduated from college was "please apply again if a position comes open that suits your 'unique qualifications.'" -Such a backhanded compliment. I laughed so hard and felt vaguely insulted. (I didn't think that a history major and an accounting minor was a strange combination, but a lot of people seem to think it is).
I was still getting rejections from applications after I started my current job, but it worked out. I only got one interview, but it was for a job that I now love. :)

Good for you, glad it worked out. Just hope one day I will be so lucky, not many people get to work at a job they actually love.

I don't even get rejection letters from the places i applied to, even after weeks of waiting after the interviews. aggh, not even a decency of sugarcoared rejection.

I hope it works out for you, too.
I don't get paid a lot, but it is enough to survive with. It's a trade-off I can live with. I thought about going into accounting, because I knew it would pay well, but I knew it would make me miserable, so I didn't.
Part of me still wants to go to my business law professor who said that it was basically impossible to have a job you enjoy and tell him that I found one- but then he would probably point out how poor I am. :D

I hate when they don't. It is so frustrating. I even had one place that I interviewed at (where they told me that they would probably hire me), never contact me to tell me that they went with someone else. I had to call them to find out.

I do feel very lucky. This is the eighth job I have had and it is the first one that I have enjoyed so much. I have had enough unpleasant jobs to feel very grateful for my current position.

Hey I would rather be poor and happy than be rich and stressed out.

As a lit major this hits me even harder *currently living in a bubble of denial* I'm sure I'll get a job soon *cries*

Same here. My job now doesn't really paid much, but i don't regret resigning from my previous one that pays more but work culture is way toxic and life draining.
But then again, i need to pay bills...

I know, right. I've thought about finding a job that pays more, but I'm so content where I am now. I have no clue what life will bring, but I think I'll try to work my current job for as long as I can.

    Ruka September 10, 2016 4:55 pm

Ikr it made reality hit. Job hunting honestly sucks.
