I like the new guy. He’s chill and he seems like a green flag. It is also good she has friends who hear her out. Tho that friend of her kinda surprised me with that “I’ll do anything for you” thing. I hope I am just reading too much into it and that it will not make the current conflict unnecessarily complex. I mean I don’t want to see her jumping out of a burning ship only to land on a sinking ship if you know what I mean. She needs a break.
Also f*ck that husband. Hope he regrets it. I have enough of his victim narrative these past few chapters. Is being a closeted gay hard particularly in a very patriarchal/religious society m? Yes sure it is. I have been there. But you do not get to sulk like you are the only one hurting here goddamnit.
The red hair guy is a bastard no doubt about it. But I kinda feel for both their situations. The MC is overwhelmed by their situation and yet still tries his best to maintain the boundary he set due to his gratitude to the red hair’s mom. While red hair might probably had feelings for him but got hurt with how MC reacted and really just started coercing him. It sucks.
But yeah sorry to the red haired guy but the black haired beefcake is still my choice for the mc. He seems like a good guy too.
Kinda sad that their friendship became complicated because of their lack of communication and maturity which is kinda understandable for their age. They kinda looked cute when they were young too.
Just that, if Joohyuk was not asshole things would have worked out and I would have cheered them on (im a sucker for bestfriends to lovers trope). It was still easily fixable by ch7 but Joohyuk might be doing some fucked up thing next chapter that will cement his assholery in this story.
I think they both hurt each other too much (joohyuk hurting the MC more), and the MC is discovering his own sexuality while meeting someone knew (and a beefcake at that). Well to be clear the MC is still not in-love with anyone at this point tho lol.
I love this type of angsty story tho so kinda hooked.
Why is this making me tear up and we haven’t even gotten to the main part yet. They were just boys who were caught in complicated racial and political conflict. Yukio was just so pure and he tries hard to make such a front for the ML and the ML while he lost the opportunity to correct him about his feelings, it is obvious that he is growing some affection for him. Gosh. Why did it have end like that?

I liked this series because it was one of those polarizing series where people like to take sides which team they belong to (cain or yahwi). I just think the author spent too much time on the love triangle and adding weird and unnecasry back stories (yahwi’s sad childhood, cain’s reincarnation side story) that didn’t relaly matter to the overall narrative.
I kinda get where the author is going with jooin’s excessive internal monologues but it kinda feels excessive because it was not properly built up from the start. Also, I think the author could have really used time and distance of Jooin and Yahwi more effectively in order to really show how both of them has changed for the better.
Instead we get this awkward ending with an out of character jooin and yahwi which doesn’t seem sweet at all but awkward and forced.
Anyway, I still liked reading this tho since it is entertaining lol
