I really miss the days of trigger/rape/non con warnings on stories and chapters. I was enjoying this story and then BAM chapter 42 happens and then out of nowhere the uke is being raped by the seme.
I've been reading yaoi for a long time, but it's sad that it's becoming nearly impossible to read one that doesn't include rape. Idk how or why we got to this point. I'm not judging anyone who likes reading stories with rape, I just don't get why most of the popular stories just throw rape in the plot like it's no big deal without even adding a warning for those of us who are triggered by it.
Idk why some of y'all have to constantly criticize art when a new artist takes over. We're all reading this for FREE. This series didn't have to return, but after all the drama they're back. I've never been to Korea, so I really can't understand why K yaoi authors are sooooo obsessed with good looking, terrible, rapist semes in so many stories. It feels like with each new story, it becomes more normalized and that's such a shame. Yes, it's fiction. But rape happens everyday. And if a gay man gets raped, most societies don't care. And readers of these stories who you would expect to at least sorta care about real gay people are becoming so numb to rape that it often feels like readers think rape is nbd as long as the seme starts being nice by the end of the story. That's awful.
I know no one is forcing anyone to read this and we could stop at any time. But it's hard to drop a story when the last thing you see from a character you've grown to care about over years is him getting pinned down and rraped by the man he's been in love with for most of his life.
