yikes, honestly, I think growing up in a country other than yours really does things to your feeling of belonging. Even more so if other people that share your race and culture reject you because you don't have the same experiences. Wich sucks and is so so stupid cause even in the same country is difficult to find someone with the same cultural experiences as yours. Mexico, for example, is really big, so people from the North and people from the south celebrate differently the same holidays, and it doesn't make either any less Mexican.
Anyways, I know this is just a comic but this probably still happens a lot irl, and I find it incredibly stupid but also sad. It's not cool to alienate people from their cultures just cause they grew up under different circumstances than yours.

It's so sad to see Nakyum helpless. Even if he tries to run away, there's no place in the world were he could go. He's been alienated from everything and everyone, and now he doesn't belong anywhere else but there, besides a man who abused him and mistreated him for so long ;; I just want him to be happy, and free. Tbh I don't think Yeong is that stupid or dense. Being outside a situation always helps to see things more clearly, but when that situation involves you directly, sometimes is really hard to notice things that seem very obvious from an outsider's perspective. Don't be so mean to him!
