This is the true example of a side character unwritten tragedy.Most ppl wouldn’t notice the resentment of side characters cause they’re just an extra to drive the plot. Imagine if your sister was devoted to a certain person for so long for them to just betray her but you can’t do anything ofc you’d be pissed as well but it’s not right lose your rationality and resolve to what Linden’s mom and sister experienced. The Marquis is as clouded in his feelings and judgement as much as Linden and no one can convince me otherwise ╥﹏╥

As much as I enjoyed this. Ngl you can sorta grasp what’s going on even if you skip 5-10 chapters. So if you’re here for a quick read they have flashbacks so often everything makes sense if you put your mind to it a little. It’s a good one and it’ll have you twist and conflicted! Def recommend it
I hope Tristian knew how toxic Gaspal is and it all hit him soon. I don’t wish him to die in anyway but fuck he’s making it really hard to like him as a person. Character wise-a good plot driver good job man.
