I don’t understand why people are trying to justify Jihyun. Mental illness is not a free for all pass (we don’t even know if he has a mental illness or rather just a lack of empathy). It’s not justification to treat people like shit. Also, I can quote a psychiatrist I know that too often people self diagnose others based off of their own opinions. At my most forgiving, Jihyun DEFINITELY needs a mental hospital. More realistically, JAIL. It’s not like he is impulsively doing these acts on the spur of the moment, most of his actions are premeditated. Imagine you family/best friend was Chiwoo and it just feels impossible to justify Jihyun.
Sorry Jihyun sympathizers, I respect your opinions, but nah. I’d put a hit out on him if he was doing this crap to my brother
I just don’t understand how these women get molested in a train full of people. Seriously girl, scream, kick him in the groin, snatch his a*** up by the collar. Do something!
Though I've never seen it, heard about it or experienced it in real life, it seems like this type of harassment is legit in Japan. Women are silently enduring it because they're a) scared and b) embarrassed. Japanese women generally aren't as outspoken as western women, also there is the whole "harmony" concept too. In this case, if women were to raise a commotion in a train, they would disrupt the "harmony" of the place and would convenient the people around. It's the culture thing, so to say... It's a bit lengthy to properly explain, so this have to do :)
I hear you. But in my honest opinion, if you can’t even call for help in a situation where there is TONS of potential help readily available, you probably shouldn’t be out in public alone. This means you are totally incapable of protecting yourself in this dangerous world. The idea of someone trying to molest you in a packed train and you can’t even ask for help (after the first 10 seconds of shock wears off) or defend yourself is literally propagating an unrealistic, Stone Age ideal that women can’t defend themselves. I’m not even trying to argue, l just think it’s an unrealistic manga trope

I will always go back and re-read this. It’s great. My one single pain though is that the twin NEVER got the real punishment that I feel he truly deserved. I wished he could actually just know that he really did kill his actual brother (who was totally innocent and adored him) the day he drove him to commit suicide and I want him to wallow in regret.
Im sure he would be happy to know the twin died. I'm angry that his murderers and rapists are walking free.
