Look at Okumura wanting to hog Eijun all for himself (≧∀≦)

Xiao_Fei July 22, 2020 11:19 pm

This is very similar to Totally Captivated, which is one of my all-time fav yaoi! Does anyone knows a story like these two?

    Loulyss July 31, 2020 3:28 am

My exact thought on the first two chapters

Lemme translate what Ezekiel said properly:
“I already have someone I love, so we can’t get any closer than we already are.”
I—I am extremely indifferent when it comes to Jenette, but that must have been a shock to someone who only have her big bro figure and unconsciously have romantic feelings for him. Sigh... I know they will eventually end up together, but I pity her now... ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ —only for this chapter tho

    broccoli sama July 21, 2020 11:37 am

Thanks for clearing this up! I was being dumb and a bit confused as to what he was saying, because I thought he was trying to say something like "sorry girl, i like athy more than you do" lolol considering the context of whay Jeanette said before that

Imagine all her children being way too OP and cool on battlefield but became a spoilt gentle children when they saw their mother? Ah... I want to see that badly (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

I sooo want to see that. Sorry for downvoting by mistake.

Now that I read the latest ch again, I could see Terajima-sensei doing this as the next reason for screwing up Sawamura again, then giving the reign to Furuya (since Nori has potential injury). Ah, I see... I never thought I could feel so much hate from a mangaka ever other than Tj-sensei... Sawamura could do so much better than he showed before, but sensei hates him. Only MC that was not given some sort of plot armor what so ever...

    shwrmy July 23, 2020 12:23 pm

I don't see it. All I see is Eijun's constant growth. I quite like him not having any plot armor. Eijun was an immature little shit back then, and he's aware of it. And you can clearly see his constant growth, both in skills and personality, if you compare the act1 to act2. Idk why a lot of you always think that terajima-sensei hates his mc when all he did is step up his improvements little by little without leaving out the side characters. And it was also mentioned in the manga that neither can grow without the other. It's a friendly rivalry that's really portrayed beautifully.

I actually think that this will be the time where Sawamura will shine the most since Amahisa is solely focusing on him because he knows what's he capable of.

But then again, that's your opinion and this is mine. Just want to say it, no offense. (≧∀≦)

Okay, I understand all the friendship rivalry and everything, but Sensei himself said that he wasn’t really planning on making Eijun the ace. His original plan was to finish just the first act, and never make the second act. He wanted to finish the story leaving Furuya as the ace. He was pushed to do it thanks to his publisher and fans that won’t accept the act 1 was the end. Imagine not having your MC making it to his goal and not even closer? The bias is very clear to see here. I’ve read stories where MCs are not the fav character of authors, but the bias in this story is just really clear for everyone. Yes, it does make the story realistic, but there were just parts that is harshly exaggerated. I used to research before for the reason for this, and learned that Japanese readers actually prefer Furuya a lot (but ofc, Eijun is still the no. 1), because they prefer a monster fast pitcher like him. Idk y’all... I just want to see him do Eijun some justice... it’s been more than 500 chapters, so the realistic part doesn’t even matter anymore...

Ahhh, now I understand your side now. Though, I don't know about the fact that Terjima said that. Did he say it in an interview? Thank God for his editors and fans then.

I wonder why would japanese like Furuya more. Sawamura is more flexible of a pitcher than him. Furuya is useless when it comes to his stamina and lacks different pitching styles.

But it makes me wonder why the hell would Terijima even bother to have Sawamura grow if in the end his endgame ace is Furuya?

He said on an interview before. Apparently, power type pitcher is popular on western, and it had some influence on Japanese audience, that’s why people prefer someone like Furuya than Eijun who has natural flexibility. It also bothers me like, why would Tj bother making Sawamura the MC rather than Furuya. Just my
opinion, but it’s prob because he know people would prefer an MC Sawamura rather than cool-headed, quiet Furuya who really has nothing but his fast pitches. Seems to me that if he had made Furuya the MC because Sawamura’s personality could easily overshadowed Furuya’s. This is usually the reason why shonen stories have bright personalities for MCs while they would always have a calm-headed guy for a rival/support. Not really sure about Tj ( ̄へ ̄)

I think I remember reading a comment before that Todoroki was the original MC but the idea was scrapped because he would’ve been too OP and therefore the story wouldn’t have lasted very long. Don’t know how true that is tho (but could explain why Sawamura isn’t OP from the start)

That makes sense, too. But TJ’s orig plan was to never make Eijun the ace, which could be misleading because of the title (altho yes, it is related to baseball). Eijun’s personality is also just full of potential when it comes to character development too. I just wish sensei would give Eijun some sort, even just a bit of armor, because we rarely see his full potential as a pitcher...

Nevertheless, I still think Eijun is much more suited to be an ace not only because of his skills but more of his personality. He became the pillar of support of the team. They would've lost the game with Ugumori if it weren't for him.

But I still stand on the fact that I love his constant growth and the lack of plot armor but now that I know that originally he wasn't suppose to become the ace, now that's something I finally understand why a lot of fans are angry. XD

the did u see how all the growth sawamura get from season 1 and 2 suddenly get thrown into trash when act 2 happen? especially in the beginning of koushien arc... and then it happen again in sawamura summer game opening as an ace the first time.. his growth in hakuryuu and seiho match is also dissapear god knows where.... thats what make TONS of ppl felt iffy bout how terjami make this manga.. its not consistent, the execution of the story is wishy washy despite having an amazing character and background story.. everybody love hardworking MC like sawamura (ex: hinata from haikyuu) and yet the poor execution of the story make ppl think twice to keep following the story cuz of countless dissapointment and blantant bias story..

even when i finished read the recent chp the first thing i think of sawamura will get subbed out on the 2nd half of the inning maybe 6/7th inning then get replaced by kawakami who later make everything worse cuz he is injured then throw out furuya as the hero of all.. fck that shit if it really happen like i predicted... is it too much to wish 1 game like when sawamura play against hakuryuu or seiho? 1 game in official match that sawamura put 100% percent of everything he learn in the past without any BS or clowning moment like in the beginning of koushien arc? terajim is sawamura hidden anti... everybody notice that since season 1
