after FL transmigrated, i was hoping for a backstory on how she ended up as a stepmom and the wife of the duke. Im currently on the first three chapters and it seems like it was an arranged marriage (correct me if im wrong or if it would be revealed on the latter chapters) and it seems both FL and the duke aren’t on good terms and i believe there is no “one sided” love that exists between them. This part gets me confused. If the duke was already married before, why did he remarry? I thought that the first marriage is the only thing that counts when it comes to political marriage?
Ain's mother died so Cassius needed a new wife. Normally the wife's family power will back the husband and the dowry money also goes to the husband so upon her death he lost the backing of her family. He doesn't need the money or power but in those days if the opportunity for more was available they'd take it which means another arranged marriage was inevitable. That's just my understanding.
But me feels that FL isn’t doing any effort to love our ML. Dunno if it is just because of her “cold” personality that makes her like that but I hope she also take a step forward to our ML.
