Okay, this is what I don't like about these kinda novel. Just because he is showing some affection and yeah he is regretting it and wants to change and all but its still can not minus all the bad deeds he did. I am not saying he should not be forgiven and be deprived of uke's love forever and suffer. I am just saying it is too soon for uke to feel that tingling sensation in his heart. How can he forget all those? But well, they say one good deed is enough.. So, maybe IDk. But not for me definitely. Just my thought though.

And yes it is showing that Uke is falling in love but not head over heels for Seme....it will be like all single good things done will come across as a whole combined effect to falling in love properly...then only it will thrive. Sure, the events after that were extremely traumatizing. But then now, he knows that the emperor lacked empathy then because he did not know pain. However, since the emperor is showing a genuine willingness to learn & put out efforts to earn redemption in this lifetime, I think he probably starts remembering his initial crush on the emperor. He is conflicted by his feelings too, because part of him does not want to forget the abuse he suffered. I guess what I'm saying is, it may feel too soon, but the whole falling in love thing started 100 yrs ago, and then it got cut short.
