Hmm I would have preferred the Male lead comforting the kid instead of Elsa. That would have taken the plot and his character development to a more positive direction.

He wasn't about to hug Hugh to make him calm down I think he was about to force him to stop but by watching her comfort him with a hug it did more to show how he doesn't have to always use force to protect/save someone
I think it’s more showing that Elsa has powers, and even thought they aren’t big or flashy, they are necessary to her family. Also based on the expressions of the ML, stopping Hugh’s magic by forced would have caused severe damage. I believe Elsa was the best choice because if Hugh had hurt ML, his entire personality would shift from guilt and regret.

STOP Chapter 25 is soooo beautiful. The Ml's monologue of his turmoil was so heartbreaking. He gave up his revenge for her. His very valid and traumatic revenge.

Yes! And to think this author actually made an effort for us to understand rubellian more without even the need to because we can already feel it from how he talks and "acts" they still do,that made me love rubellian more.
