It is past Hosik who tragically died. They kind of parallel the past and present story to show they had a past life together and they finally get their happy ending in the present. I think the reason they couldn’t be together in the past was because the seme had to produce an heir and of course was not allowed to be with a man.

idk i dont have rlly a problem with taekyung like ppl are talking abt "taekyung rlly ended up taking heejae into a psychiatric hospital", at thought, taekyung DOESNT rlly knew that heejae has experienced amnesia. imagine, you're tend to meet with your lover, you waited for them, and ended up emptyhanded, not able to have just a glance of them. then, you visited them, but they werent there. most of the readers are blaming him, he never knew abt heejae being locked up in the hospital, he never knew abt heejae experiencing amnesia, he never knew how heejae was on that accident. i bet if taekyung has an idea or he really knew what happened, boom. there was rlly nOne oF thIs cHaos gOing on yep kudos to you heegyum for hiding heejae and hurting them both
