Roses and champagne lovers, im sorry. but reading this felt like a chore. i really want to like it since the rating is high and i always see people talking about this but my god. the stockholm syndrome is real on this one. uke went from a very resolute character into a total pushover. caesar was nothing but an obsessed lover and no significant character growth whatsoever. they didnt even get to know about each other until the very last chapter (what was all that 88 chapters for, really?). theres also this mention of "mafia" like a broken record like I KNOW caesar is mafia and the setting is mafia yadayadayada i dont need that shoved up my throat everytime. the subplots also felt like the author had sudden ideas and just went rolling with it. theres that one cousin then theres leonid then the father then vladimir and none of those really propelled the love story into something else, character-wise also. you could remove them from the story and no one will notice! uggh my head is really aching right now
its such a rarity nowadays for manhwa yaoi to not have smut be integral to the plot. i love the journey hakyung and yoonsung had to take for their romance. the pain, the pining, the acceptance and the bravery. I may sound like a broken record but goddamn, the art, the story, the execution done for this was top tier. It has the atmosphere of PEAK CINEMA. Thank you author-nim for this masterpiece. Looking forward to your future projects. My money is yours! and I will never get tired rereading this. Definitely will recommend this to anyone.

Good Lord, Yeongwon really settled this for me when the manhwa started with him on the very first few panels (his iconic blue buttonup while helping the old lady). I beamed up coz short hair???? Oh Im about to EAT!!! Then everything just fell into place and he is such a good contrast to Seoin's feminine features. they compliment to well.
