Well, the reason why they broke up is because of MC's sister. She died. People thought she commited suicide but for MC it was not like someone was trying to threaten her. Him and mc started investigating the case together but somehow, the investigation got too deep and the death of his sister wasn't simple. While investigating, male lead got threaten that what happened to the MC's sister will happen to MC if he doesn't stop investigating so male lead decided to betray MC and left him. That made MC hate him. He could also know if the person lies. So whenever the male lead lies he knows.
