everything about this chapter made me emotional. i was fighting for my life when he was leaning against the grave and i lost the battle when he started crying. the leaf falling on his head like she’s comforting him, and the doodle at the end?!?!?? oh no i cant do this she mustve been such a good person
i just cant dislike him after this man, he had his reasons. a decision like that is so hard to make, say what you will but his recovery took 30 years. thats 30 years haebeom and his mother would have had to watch him struggle with not only his memories but becoming a functioning person again. they’d be miserable. and you can sit here and argue that maybe being around them would have helped him recover faster but you cant know that for sure so we’re just stuck in a circle of possibilities and what ifs when regardless they would have had to bare witness to someone they love being in such a heartbreaking position and having no power to help.
i hope its not a genetic thing either and i really hope haebeom goes for a checkup after hearing about this.
im so glad he has ho as well, the little family they’ve made together brings me so much comfort and i’m glad they have each other to lean and depend on :((
