while I feel for the mother, she was so out of pocket with that shit
like you could have fostered a loving relationship with your child and have someone to unconditionally love you
and she really never addressed him by name or title once
its so sad to see the projection of abuse carry on through generations like this
I hope she regretted what happened at least in the end

I totally get and agree with what y'all are saying about the way Leslie acted, but y'all gotta realize that this was the only person who ever showed her kindness in her entire life up until meeting the slavatores
the woman lost her job because she was kind so Leslie is a bit blinded by guilt and admiration for the lady
she's not dumb, she's just very empathetic and kind

I dunno about the rest of you lot but this seems a lettle bet shady init luv
*now read it normally*
like the mc could easily solve the situation if she spoke up and defended her sister and it would make them friends
the heroine's friends always get a happy ending if they actually pull through for her and stuff so make the effort to not alienate and add to the verbal/emotional abuse she has to deal with
the mc has the power to make that happen and she should
and if the heroine does end up being a two-faced twat then all the more reason
keep your enemies closer luv

glad to see that others in the comments shared my thoughts
like the premise of this story is so good
I mean a girl who accidentally becomes a genie and teams up with an ETHNIC MALE LEAD to fight bad guys already sounds bad ass
but the characters are lack luster
like her personality doesn't mesh well with the male leads and none of the characters bounce off each other well
to put it simply theres no balance
for instance, if the mc is going to be a reserved person then the male lead should be confident and extroverted
but they’re both stagnant
and I get making the male lead this way bc of his life and such but he's not evolving as a character as rapidly as needed and neither is the mc
also the side characters are also so reserved and solemn, like there has to be opposite personalities in play to create a functional character dynamic (like that bubbly maid)
there just too many of the same personality in play for this to create a sense of intrigue in the comic
and the pacing is so slow
im sad bc I really really really wanted to adore this

like first there was the blond hair blue eyed European craze, then the black hair blue eyes thing, followed by the black hair and red eyes, and now theres the black hair and hazel eyes trend going on but every male lead I've seen is light skinned and theres ALWAYS a cute dark-skinned boy with sparkling amber eyes that gets his poor heart broken in these comics bc he has to serve as the second lead and or add diversity to the comic
I want a dark-skinned male lead who gets to be the baddest bitch AND gets a happy non-side-male ending
am I the only one who thinks her fated partner is aseph but his seal didn't pop up yet. I mean her character doesn't even exist in the original novel so where would her fated lover even come from. and if y'all refer to chapter 23, zays seal appears in the same spot on aseph when it healed him. so I don’t think its a reach to assume he's her fated boo
