they are pitiful and innocent, but only if you only look at the surface. BECAUSE she knew deep down she was alone, she became a person able to be selfish in a way, she does not even see herself. THIS! Characters who have victim complex is what I hate the m o s t. It's mostly always all the ones who were the main characters from the "novel" versions of these stories and its so consistent and I rarely see any stories who stray away from that and ACTUALLY make the "main characters" worth it for having that title, even when the FL's get their second chance.

It is not like he is overflowing with absolute self love above reason like some narcissist. He does know he is not perfect very well, hates himself sometimes a bit too much, but he also understands the responsibility of being alive and holding the reign to his life.
No matter how much you "love" someone, if you realise things will get ugly and distort, you can cut it off before it all becomes dirty, dark and muddy. Before it hurts more beyond reason and could destroy you. It is the responsible thing to do towards yourself, towards you who felt all those nice feelings while being together with that person and towards that person that inspired you to feel that way. You have to realise when things start to change and think if you can live with that change well, happy and healthy. With body and mind. Some people choose the lingering feelings and abandon everything else, until may be if lucky, they reflect and realise how they almost destroyed themselves just because they were after that one feeling like an addict after heroine. How they made those times they spend with that person into something twisted now.
So yes. No hesitation. If you decide internally, that it is the end. Then it is the end. He is just trying to have an "epilogue" with you now, as a last hooray to his self that desired and enjoyed your time together as partners.
I ended many relationships this way. It seemed cruel, but I ended most of them on a good note. I knew that we both had changed and that we could not accept each other the way we were at present (friends, dates, family). May be if fate brings us together years from now, when we are more evolved people and can function better together, then we could try were we left of or completely anew get to know our evolved selves, if not, we will remember each other as nice as possible. Without room for any hate or blame. There is always paint after a parting. Pain from having hopes and dreams crushed. I like this Uke and am curious to see how they will develop further. But right now, the one who needs to get a hold of their life is to me obviously Ahjussi. Uke is, as i feel, already on a good path. It is wonky, but he is aware of himself quite well and growing well as a person. Ahjussi seems to be more like someone floating around if he is not doing what he did always as his Yakuza-Work-Self. Outside of work he seems kinda chaotic.
