When I tell you how I balled my eyes out when the gate closed. I was like "no, go back, go back!" And when they faced each other on each side whyyy do this to me. But they did get back with each other right?
Apparently they do go back to each other. Because in the end it explained that they would always be together no matter where, it just didn't clearly state of they went back to the protected area or went outside. :)
In the last panel it shows digged up hole and says that no matter where they always stay together (author didn't say if they went outside or stayed inside)
