this manga is honestly just so beautiful and mature. the story flows so smoothly and i love both the characters and with no drama and angst, it’s nice to just appreciate their relationship. and the fact that he has a fuckin food truck in the end and it’s mobile so he can go wherever wataru is transferred for his job... the LOVE UGH I LOVE THIS MANGA

i read this a long time ago when i was young and i completely hated chika but reading it now i feel pity for him. yes he did take out some of his own anger towards ukai but we have to rmb that he also suffered from that kidnapping. he carried a lot of guilt for being unconscious for those 2 days and constantly hearing “if only that boy had been found sooner”. im not trying to excuse his actions but i feel like we should at least be able to understand that he did what he thought was best for himself and ukai.
now all angst aside, the extra chapters were so sweet. when ukai woke up for those 2 seconds just to say “I love you” while crying.... best feeling ever.

i normally don’t read smut but this one is pretty nice!
i just wish he would COMMUNICATE and somehow let her know that’s she’s the one he loves and was planning to give the rice kimono to in the first place bc she’s still out here thinking there’s another woman he loves omg. misunderstandings from the lack of communication get me so irritated
it’s pretty realistic with it being not like a super romantic fluff but it also has the element of love and possessiveness between the characters. it’s a nice change of pace from the yakuza yaoi where it’s just sex and rape and no emotions but also not too fluffy that it’s just not realistic enough to be categorized as yakuza. very nice balance
