The emperor freaks the fuck out and thinks that the doctor is tricking his ‘innocent pol’ (her nickname in novel) he doesn’t even believe it when aino tells him and he ends up having to accept while crying and he even tries to attack aino with his sword. honestly the doctor isn’t the worst because he’s upfront with Paulina in what he wants out of there relationship but he does lie to her about having a secret son when she repeatedly asked him if he has anything else to confess before they get married. She hates liars the most. The doctor was trying to protect his son above everything :/

They already dislike Hyesung and are hyper critical of him. I like Dojins brothers exs story because it's SOMEWHAT realistic. Even if one tries yto change and be a better version of themselves it takes time. No real person randomly starts being better. It's a process and Hyesung has been doing great on his journey of growing up. He didn't have parents to teach him. He's basically an overgrown child himself. I have no doubt he will work through this and come out better for it.
